Yuma County John Doe was a transient man who was struck by a train and received multiple fractures and a hemorrhage from the accident around 9:30 PM on the Santa Fe tracks six and a half miles south of Salome, Arizona on May 9, 1958. He died from his injuries instantly at the scene. It is believed he was riding on the train and accidentally fell out. He was buried at the Yuma Pioneer Cemetery in Yuma, Arizona on May 23, 1958.
