Yuba County John Doe was a man found murdered near Marysville, California on August 25, 1951. After his arrest in January 1952, Lloyd Gomez confessed to killing him while he was sleeping in his underwear a hundred yards from the railroad tracks. He struck him with a brick and robbed him of 21 cents. He was his eighth victim.
Gomez confessed to killing nine homeless middle-aged men between 1950 and 1951 in northern California. Robbery was the motive, with Gomez stating he only netted a total of $62.26 from his victims. In June 1952, he was convicted of the November 1950 murder of Warren Hood Cunningham and was executed at San Quentin State Prison on October 16, 1953.
In addition to this victim, Gomez's first and fifth remain unidentified.
