Yuba County Jane Doe was a teenage girl that Curtis Dean Anderson confessed to killing in early 1985. Her remains have not been located or linked to an existing unidentified person case.
Case[]
In November 2007, FBI agents interviewed violent pedophile Curtis Dean Anderson, who was convicted and sentenced to over 300 years in prison for the 1999 kidnapping and murder of 7-year-old Xiana Fairchild in Vallejo, California, and other crimes. Anderson confessed to ten murders, eight in the United States and two in Mexico. Fairchild and Amber Swartz-Garcia were two in the United States, and he did not give any details about the Mexican murders.
The third victim Anderson confessed to killing was a young female in her late teens who was possibly a runaway from Oregon. He met her in the Marysville area before killing her. No further information on her physical description or where Anderson disposed of her is available.
It should be noted that many people are skeptical about Anderson's confessions. Besides the lack of physical evidence, he was known to enjoy the notoriety he got for his crimes and enjoyed teasing and manipulating the police and the families of his victims. It is possible that this victim may not actually exist, and therefore, this is a false confession. Despite this possibility and his death in December 2007, the FBI is investigating his claims and is seeking information from the public.
