Wilma June Nissen (October 19, 1954 - c. June/July 1978) was a woman who was found murdered in a ditch in 1978.
Case[]
Nissen moved from California to Atlanta, Georgia in February 1978, but left shortly thereafter and was never heard from again. On October 4, 1978, a worker laying down cables discovered Nissen's bound, badly decomposed body in a patch of reads near a road side. An autopsy found that she had been in the location since June or July of that year. She had not been killed at the scene, and it appeared that the rope around her legs had been used to drag her body to the location. She was identified in January 2006 when her fingerprints were matched with a previous arrest record in California.
