Westchester County John Doe was a man found inside of a cedar chest in a wooded area along the Saw Mill Parkway in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.
Police at the time of the man’s discovery believed he may have been connected to organized crime and was possibly killed because his associates thought he was an informant. They also thought it was possible he may have come from Canada, Italy, or Latin America due to the fact that his fingerprints were not on file with the New York City Police Department. His clothing was described as being well-made and expensive.
