Washington, D.C. John Doe is a man who was killed by a Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore train in the freight yards in the Anacostia area of Washington D.C. on September 22, 1900. Two days later, Coroner Nevitt viewed his remains and determined an inquest was unnecessary and the victim interred and buried at the Washington Asylum Potters Field. Few details are available in his case.
