Várzea Grande Doe was an individual whose body found bound and beaten on a road between the towns of Cuiabá and Várzea Grande in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso. Due to the presence of manicured nails and several articles of feminine clothing on their body, it is believed the decedent may have been transgender.
On the morning of 24th May, 2021, an unidentified body was found on the side of the Rodovia dos Imigrantes highway in Brazil in front of a billboard. The decedent was bound with pantyhose and had a plastic bag tied over their head secured by pantyhose tied around their neck. Authorities quickly concluded the decedent had been recently murdered elsewhere and dumped along the highway. Once their body was forwarded to the Forensic Medical Institute in Brazil, it was discovered they had several head injuries and deep bruises alongside the initials for the Comando Vermelho criminal faction carved on their lower back. It was concluded that the bruises on their back were caused by wooden boards and that no gunshot wounds were found on their body.
No further details have been released about their death, though due to the initials carved on their back, it is assumed they were killed by members of the Comando Vermelho.
