Tuscaloosa County Jane Doe was a young woman who was found murdered in 1979.

Case[]

The victim was found off State Route 216 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on July 23, 1979. She had been stabbed in the temple and possibly sexually assaulted.

A suspect residing in Bessemer, Alabama was convicted of killing two other women and dumping their bodies in the same area the victim was found in, however, she has never been identified. Both of the previous victims were last seen in Bessemer and one was a hitchhiker.

The victim is believed to be a possible hitchhiker or sex worker from another area.
