Timothy W. Gibson II was a man whose remains were found in a densely wooded area close to the Eagle Brook Farm neighborhood in Sedalia, Missouri.

He was identified in April 2021 after an x-ray matched with where he had suffered broken bones in life. His case is now considered closed.

Case

On March 25th, 2015, Gibson was taken to a hospital in Sedalia, Missouri, and later released only to disappear after leaving the hospital.

3 years later on October 27th, 2018, his remains were found by an agent for the Missouri Department of Conservation office near the Eagle Brook Farm neighborhood of Sedalia in a densely wooded area. Minimal evidence was found at the scene and Gibson's body was so badly decomposed that the coroner was unable to determine a cause of death. His body was put through labs in order to determine his identity, though the results were delayed due to the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.

Gibson was identified on April 15th, 2021, after his medical records matched with findings on the body. His identification was publicly released days later on the 21st. Foul play is not suspected in his death and his case is now considered closed by investigators.
