Taylor Pomaski, (1991 - c. April 25, 2021), was a young woman whose remains were discovered in Harris County by the Texas EquuSearch group in December 2021 during a planned search.
Her remains were identified in April 2022. Her boyfriend, Kevin Ware Jr., has been charged with her murder and is being held in the Montgomery County Jail near Houston.
Case[]
On April 25th, 2021, Pomaski was reportedly last seen at a party held at Ware's residence engaging in a violent argument with him before disappearing under suspicious circumstances. The case quickly came to public attention due to Ware's status as a former player on the San Francisco 49ers football team and he was shortly after arrested in Houston. Authorities ruled to keep him detained in the Montgomery County Jail without bond due to an arrest made in April that detailed Ware driving his car at 115 mph while in possession of cocaine, methamphetamines, marijuana, an AK-47, and a 9mm pistol. He was out on bond for this arrest when Pomaski's disappearance occurred.
On December 10th of the same year, Texas EquuSearch was conducting a search on a location reported to have been linked to Pomaski's disappearance when they discovered remains in the area. At the time, the remains were suspected to have belonged to the decedent, though they were not conclusively identified until April 2022. The investigation into her death is still ongoing and Ware has not yet been officially charged with her death.
