Case[]
On 7 December 2022, cleaners discovered the remains of a woman in a locked area behind a wall in an area underneath an apartment complex in Alderley, a suburb of Brisbane, Australia.
The remains were partially buried and wrapped in several layers of clothing and bedding, seemingly to preserve the remains. Residents of the complex never reported any unusual smells, despite the investigation ascertaining the woman's remains had been there for at least seven years, but more likely between 12 and 13 years. Authorities revealed there were signs of trauma and were treating her death as suspicious, but did not release any further details. Despite interviewing current and previous residents of the building, investigators were unable to identify her.

In 2023, police used familial DNA testing and positively identified the woman as Tanya Lee Glover, who was approximately 38 at the time of her death. No missing person report was filed, as family members had lost contact with her and believed she was living elsewhere, but her last point of contact was in August 2009. Police reported that Tanya was "vulnerable", was visually and hearing-impaired, unemployed and mostly kept to herself. She moved from New South Wales to Fortitude Valley, a suburb in central Brisbane, in 2006. Investigators are trying to ascertain how Tanya's remains ended up in the complex, as well as who may have wanted to harm her and why. Her death is estimated to have occurred in January 2010.
