"Sweetie Doe" was the nickname given by law enforcement to an infant found deceased in an alley behind a Baldwin Hills apartment building located in Los Angeles, California. Her cause of death was pneumonia, which was considered a homicide, as she was malnourished and neglected and bore signs of physical abuse, including healed scars and broken bones. Her body was eventually cremated, making future DNA testing impossible.
