The decedent's skeletal remains were found by electrical workers in a well on Blackie Road in Dickson County, Tennessee. Foul play is not suspected in the case, and it is thought he may have died as the result of natural causes or an accident.
Investigators discovered he had been living in a nearby residence on Rock Springs Road. The decedent was known to others as "Steve Johnson", a name which is believed to have been false. Johnson's long-time roommate had since died, and a friend reported that he was preparing to relocate to the Knoxville area. It is believed he drove a white Nissan pickup truck.
