St. Johns County John Doe was a Haitian refugee who drowned after his boat capsized in 1982.
Case
John Doe was found in St. Augustine in 1982. Several days before, eleven other victims were found in Boca Raton. A Haitian freight ship, the Esperancia, capsized the Sunday before the Boca Raton were discovered, but only ten people were thought to be on board.
