St. Johns County John Doe was a man who was found shot to death in a shanty in Riverdale, Florida, on November 8, 1935. His body was both burned and decomposed, making visual identification impossible. An inquest was held on November 30th, and subsequently buried in the potter's field of Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
