St. Croix County Jane Doe was a woman whose skull was discovered in a plastic bag in 2002.
She is undergoing testing by the DNA Doe Project. The organization’s research revealed she was likely White, not Asian as initially thought, and that her family possibly had ties to the Twin Cities in Minnesota, possibly settling there after immigration. In February 2022, it was announced she was of Swedish ancestry.
