St. Charles County Jane Doe, also known as Jane Doe West Alton was a toddler found deceased in Alton Lake in Missouri on February 1, 1968.

Case[]

The body of the child was found inside a cheap, black suitcase that was bound and weighed down with two ten-pound barbells inside the suitcase and two more tied to the outside. The suitcase had been bound with a blue clothesline. A fisherman had hooked the remains while on Lake Alton.

Shortly after the body was discovered, a man came forward and claimed that the deceased was his daughter, Teresa Mobley, who had left town with her mother. However, it was later confirmed that Teresa Mobley was found to be alive.

She was buried on February 9, 1968, in Oak Grove Cemetery but was exhumed in 2015 to extract DNA from her body. However, the DNA extracted proved insufficient for profiling.
