Spokane John Doe was a man who was found in the Spokane River in 1989. He was found in the Nine Mile region, which is in northwest Spokane.
Case[]
While it's unknown how he got to be in the river, he was found to have incurred a skull fracture and other bodily injuries, leading authorities to believe he was the victim of a homicide; these injuries very possibly occurred prior to his entering the river. DNA for the victim is available, but no fingerprints.
Characteristics[]
- A homemade tattoo on his left bicep that probably read "RICH"; the R, C, and H were clearly visible. A portion of the second letter -- possibly an I -- was obscured and not much of it was visible.
Clothing and accessories[]
- A pair of dark colored size 7 'HI-TEC' brand boots.
- A pair of bluish socks with white trim.
- A light pair of denim jeans.
- A long sleeve button-down shirt that was frayed along the lower waist.
- A t-shirt that had gray and maroon horizontal stripes.
- A white metal necklace with a yellow metal cross that was held together with a paper clip.
