Sonoma County John Doe was a man whose remains were found near a fishing hole in Forestville, California. He had fractures to both sides of the skull, and stab wounds to his shoulders.
He is currently undergoing testing by the DNA Doe Project. Their research has showed he's most likely from North Carolina, with ancestry specifically in Brunswick County, Johnston County, Cumberland County, New Hanover County, Jones County, and Craven County.
