Sleepy Eye John Doe was a man who was struck and killed in a train accident on August 12, 1916, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota.

At around 6:00 p.m., the unknown man was walking toward Sleepy Eye on his own. When the incoming Redwood Falls train, going at 20 miles per hour, whistled, however, he crossed the track, stepping directly into the train when he was struck. Both of his legs were severed, and his ribs were broken. He died while on his way to the local physician, and the train crew was not blamed for the incident. No identification was found on him.

He was buried on August 14 at the local Home Cemetery at the county's expense.
