Case[]
In 2024, authorities announced that Talfey Reeves was responsible for Shawna's murder. It is believed he picked up Shawna along Highway 59 in Missouri. He then restrained her wrists and ankles in a hogtie before transporting her to an abandoned farmhouse. He then sexually assaulted her and administered a fatal overdose of drugs. Reeves died on November 15, 2021 after a motorcycle accident and Garber's case is now considered closed. Before he was linked to the case, authorities were considering the possibility that serial killer Dennis Rader could have committed the murder.
