
Sawyers Valley John Doe, also known as "The Chidlow Rifle Range Case", was a man whose remains were located in a shallow grave at the Chidlow Rifle Range[1] in Sawyers Valley, Western Australia. He had been shot in the chest.
Case[]
At 4:50 PM on 27 August 1979, the decedent's remains were located in a shallow grave at the Chidlow Rifle Range by a family walking in the area. The scene suggested the decedent was possibly murdered in a different area and had been dragged into the shallow grave, which was partially concealed with branches.
He was dressed in a fashion not meant for manual work or hiking and was wearing a watch produced and sold in Japan.
