Sasabe John Doe was a young man whose remains were found near Sasabe, Arizona on December 21, 2000.

Case[]

The victim was found by a rancher in a remote desert area northwest of La Rosa Ranch Road and Highway 286 near several ranches. The area in question is five miles west of Sasabe and three miles north of the US/Mexico border.

Fingerprints were run by AFIS and the United States Border Patrol shortly after his discovery, but results came back negative. His dental record and DNA are also reportedly available.

According to an article from the now defunct-Tucson Citizen, investigators revealed the victim was shot and that he maybe from Mexico.
