San Mateo County John Doe was a man discovered on a beach in 1991.
He was identified in September 2020, per the San Mateo County Coroner.
Case[]
The decedent's decomposed body was found floating in the water near Sharp Park in Pacifica, California. Some trauma was discovered on his skull, which had occurred just before his death, although the exact manner remains undetermined. The defect may have occurred as the result of homicide, or accidentally, if the decedent had been struck against a hard surface by the water.
One print of reasonable quality had been lifted after he was found. Although DNA was reportedly unavailable, and dental records were available only in the means of photographs, he was identified in September 2020.
