San Francisco John Doe was a man whose body was found inside of a trunk in 1968.
Case[]
The victim's body was found in a steamer trunk at the Railway Express Agency Facility and had been shipped by train on the 4th of April. The body had been wrapped in a bedsheet, which was branded with the name of a hotel. The victim had been shot through the back, piercing the heart and he had been hog tied with twine.
The trunk had been shipped from Newark, New Jersey by a petite woman in her 50s who gave her name as Gerry Fedele and claimed to live at the Belmont Hotel. The trunk was addressed to a Janet Farise, but there were no records of such a person existing.
