Ross County John Doe was a man whose mandible was found along the bank of the Scioto River near the City Park annex outside of Chillicothe, Ohio.

His case was closed by police in March 2025 after work was conducted by the DNA Doe Project.

The man's identity has been narrowed down to being one of two brothers; Jacob Friend (1852 - 1923) or Amos Friend (1861 - 1898), both of whom were originally buried in Bucyrus, Ohio at the Oakwood Cemetery.

Due to issues that could arise in exhuming the brothers' remains and the fact that the case is now known to be historic, law enforcement has opted to not engage in further investigation.
