Ronald Wayne Jager was a man whose piece of maxilla with teeth present washed up along the shore of Lake Michigan in Ganges Township near Saugatuck, Michigan on July 31, 2014. DNA from the maxilla matched another set of partial remains that were recovered in Oceana County, Michigan in 2014.
Police considered drowning to be a plausible scenario for Jager's death before the identification. Jager went on a fishing trip on the day of his disappearance and an unsuccessful search of Lake Michigan was conducted in order to find him. His boat was discovered in Milwaukee Harbor on August 4, 2000. Four life jackets were left on the boat and the electric motor was still engaged.
He was identified by the DNA Doe Project by April 22, 2022.
