Rock County John Doe was a young man who was found burned in Rock County, Nebraska.

Case[]

Rock County John Doe's remains were discovered on the morning of October 30th, 1900. A county sheriff had been requested to search the debris of a burned log cabin on the property of a local farmer, J.M. Mead. The cabin was said to have burnt down earlier at around 2 A.M. that same day. No further evidence was found and no cause of the fire could be determined.

A coroner examined the body and determined the remains belonged to a young man. His identity was unable to be determined due to the burns he had sustained.

He is interred at Bassett Hill Cemetery in Bassett, Nebraska.
