Robert James Pearson was a man who died in 1999. Prior to his death, he had been living under a stolen identity.
He was identified in March 2022.
Case
Pearson was found in his apartment by his girlfriend. Her identity was not recorded at the time and she has never been located.
Both the girlfriend and his landlord knew Pearson as John Lehman, and believed he was from Long Beach, California. Later investigation revealed that this was a stolen identity. An ex-girlfriend of Pearson described him as a "con man" and provided another possible name which turned out to be correct.
Pearson is buried in Clam Lake Cemetery in Ashland County, Wisconsin.

- Several tattoos:
- Professional tattoo on dorsal surface of left forearm consisting of flower and banner with the inscription "Debbee",
- Unprofessional tattoo on lateral aspect of left upper arm which cannot be discerned and
- Unprofessional tattoo on the lateral aspect of the right upper arm which appears to represent two letters, possibly an "S" and "O" and a banner beneath them.
