Ramsey County Jane Doe was a mummified woman found deceased in 2000. 27 women have been ruled out as the decedent.

Case

On the 15th of September, 2000, two people walking on a swampy trail in Long Lake Regional Park, New Brighton, discovered the nude mummified remains of a young woman.

An autopsy determined the woman to be Caucasian with possible Native ancestry, standing at about 5'5", with brown to strawberry-blonde, reddish medium to long hair and in the age range of 25 to 50 years old. Suffering from Osteoarthritis in her back and hips and with a healed fracture on her right middle finger. With extensive prior dental work, that included root canals on 3 teeth, all 4 wisdom teeth removed; and a single missing upper left tooth, that would have been noticeable when she smiled.

An extensive search of the area uncovered a single white tennis-type shoe that is presumed to belong to the decedent but nothing else.

Characteristics

  • Strawberry Blonde to Auburn hair, medium length.

Clothing and Accessories

  • Single white tennis shoe found on scene.
