Unidentified Wiki

Porter County Jane Doe was a woman whose skeletal parts was found by a hunter in dense thicket half a mile south of US Highway 6, five miles east of SR 49, and one and a half miles west of the La Porte County, Indiana line.

She had a blow to her head, but further analysis by the coroner found there were no sign of trauma or fractures to any of the bones. The coroner believes she died at another location and her cause of death is undetermined.

Investigators attempted to disinter her remains in 2021, but instead found another woman's remains at the marked location.
