The victim's severed head was located in a bag in the basement of an abandoned dwelling in an area of Philadelphia known for drug activity. An autopsy suggested that the victim was alive when she was decapitated.
Accounts regarding how long she had died before being discovered differ. An article written within days of the discovery stated that she died "as recently as a week" before her discovery, while NamUs claims that she had been dead for a matter of days.
