Oneida County Jane Doe was a woman whose decomposed body was located in Cassian, Wisconsin, in 1947.
Case[]
After being strangled to death, the victim was buried in a prone position near a road overgrown with vegetation in the vicinity of US Highways 8 and 51.
The file pertaining to this case was later stored away and rediscovered over seven decades later by officials who were looking through the basement of a storage facility. The woman was subsequently entered into NamUs, and an exhumation of her remains was approved for early October 2021.
