Novoshakhtinsk Jane Doe was a young woman who was murdered by Russian serial killer Andrei Chikatilo in October of 1983. The victim was found in Novoshakhtinsk, a mining town that borders between modern-day Russia and Ukraine. Chikatilo confessed to authorities that he met her at a bus station and she was a prostitute looking for a "man with a car".
Between 1978 - 1990, Chikatilo sexually assaulted, murdered, and mutilated between 52 - 56 women and children in the Soviet Union. He was convicted for fifty-two of the murders, including this murder, and was executed on February 14, 1994.
Two other unidentified victims of the Rostov Ripper include Krasny Sulin Jane Doe and Yangi Chonoz Jane Doe.
