North Point John Doe was an infant found in the sewer system of the Wu Fu Center in North Point, Hong Kong.
Case[]
On September 7, 2010, residents of the Wu Fu Center in North Point, Hong Kong complained to the manager's office about the sewage system being blocked. The manager after hearing the complaints called sewer and drainage workers to the building to fix the issue. The sewage workers began clearing the drainage when they discovered limbs belonging to an infant. They halted their work and called the police.
The police had to contact the Hong Kong Fire Department to remove the infant's body from the sewers. The firefighters sawed off the six-inch diameter sewer pipe and used tools to extract the decedent's body for the police to investigate. The body belonged to a boy and his umbilical cord was still attached. According to police, the infant was born prematurely while the mother was around 6 months pregnant. Police then say that the mother likely flushed the fetus down the toilet and blocked the sewage pipe. The police with the help of sniffer dogs went door to door and questioned all the residents and their foreign domestic maids but to no results.
Police are unsure whether the infant was murdered or the result of a miscarriage.
