Nags Head John Doe was an infant boy found under a trash can in Nags Head, North Carolina.

Case[]
In 1991, the remains of an infant were discovered in a trash can, accompanied by a plastic hair curler found in his throat. In 2021, his biological parents were identified as Robin Byrum and Scott Poole. Robin stated to law enforcement that she was unaware of her pregnancy and unexpectedly gave birth to the child in her car, claiming the infant was stillborn. However, the coroner believed the cause of death was asphyxiation homicide, with the hair curler implicated as the cause.
At the time, Robin lived with her parents and Scott had no idea she was pregnant. They went on to marry and their relationship was marked by incidents of domestic violence, with Scott being the perpetrator against Robin.
