Miranda Rodriguez was a woman who was found in a BBQ pit in Houston in July 2022.
She was identified in July 2023. It is unknown how or why Miranda ended up in the BBQ pit, as she had vanished during Hurricane Harvey almost 5 years prior to her discovery.

Two landscapers hired to clean a family's backyard noticed a skull in their barbecue pit. It was later determined an entire human skeleton was in the pit. The barbecue pit was reportedly very large and made of brick, and there was a lack of disturbance to the area, suggesting the skeleton could have been there for a very long time.
