Mindy Lee Clevidence (October 15, 1978 - May 20, 1996) was a teenager found deceased in Highland Park, Michigan. She was located in an alley after being shot in the neck.
She was identified in November 2023.
Case[]
After undergoing a series of personal setbacks, Clevidence moved into a group home in Dayton, Ohio. After a short period of time, she ran away from the facility; notification of this to her family was delayed.
After nearly thirty years of her fate remaining unknown, a niece submitted DNA to an unspecified company with intentions for genealogy research. A potential match to the then-unknown victim was discovered, and further investigation confirmed Clevidence was the murdered teenage female in question.
After her identification, the victim was cremated and returned to her family.
