Milton Leon Pellegrini Jr. (born November 12, 1966) was a young man whose mandible was found on Houda Point Beach near Trinidad, California in 1991.
He was identified by Othram in July 2024.
Background[]
Pellegrini was lost at sea in December 1987 when working as a crew member on the fishing vessel Midnight Sun, which capsized while trying to enter Humboldt Bay during a storm.
The skipper of the ship survived the accident, but Pellegrini and one other crew member were unaccounted for following the incident.
