Mary Brosley was a woman who disappeared from Massachusetts in the summer of 1970 and whose skeletal remains were found in 1971 in Miami. Her remains were identified in 2017 and serial killer Samuel Little confessed to killing her in 2018. She was his first murder victim.
Case[]
Mary Brosley was a married mother of two when she left Palmer, Massachusetts. She had last mentioned to family she was taking the bus back to Boston where she lived, but was never heard from again. She was reported missing by her family soon after.
On New Year's Eve 1970, Brosley met Samuel Little at a Miami bar and was taken out in his car to a secluded location. Little recounted years later than he had strangled a woman he met in a bar on December 31, 1970.
Between 1970-2005, Little killed up to ninety women, many of whom were involved in drugs or prostitution. He was convicted of eight murders in three states and linked to sixty-one additional murders, including Brosley. The investigation into Little's crimes are ongoing despite his death.
