Mark Jay Hess (born April 4, 1956) was a man whose remains were found in 2022, partially buried along the Nooksack River in Ferndale, Washington together with a handgun. Investigators estimated his remains had been there since the early 2000s.
He was identified in November 2024. Hess was reported missing in 2002.
