Mario Della Torre was a man who went missing from Whyalla, South Australia in 1976.
His remains were found washed up on a beach near False Bay several months later.
Della Torre was identified in February 2022, when South Australian police began to reopen cases of unidentified remains and conduct testing on them, which includes the Somerton Man. His case was the first to be processed under this review.
He was noted to have been depressed around the time of his disappearance and stated that his medication was not working. However, his death was ruled undetermined by the Coroner.
