Manhattan Jane Doe was a victim of serial killer Richard Cottingham, also known as “The Torso Killer.”
Case[]
The victim was discovered in Room #417 of the Travel Inn Motor Hotel by firefighters responding to a fire alarm. Another victim was discovered on the scene and later identified as Deedeh Goodarzi, a Kuwaiti immigrant, a sex worker at the time of her death.
The killer had removed their heads and hands and attempted to burn the remains. The missing body parts were never recovered.
