He is currently undergoing testing by Othram.

Case[]

On May 14, 1983, a burned-out car was found containing the remains of a man in Canton, Mississippi. Due to the body being badly burned, the height, weight, and distinguishable features could not be determined. He had fractures to his fibula, ribs, and thoracic vertebrae, with some occurring perimortem or postmortem.

The remains were initially thought to have belonged to the car's owner, Edward L. Cates, but he was later discovered alive in Georgia the following month. Cates had faked his death to escape financial problems. He was charged with capital murder but pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a plea deal, where he was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Cates refused to provide any information regarding the victim and died while in prison in 2009.

Characteristics[]

  • Missing unspecified amount of teeth.
