"Louis Blanco" was the possible name of a man found hanging in a tobacco barn in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. A jacket was found nearby with the name "Louis Blanco" written inside it. He was eventually buried under this name.

Case[]

The victim's body was found in a tobacco barn. He had hung himself and was found several weeks after his death. The body of a small dog, several empty beer cans, and an empty pack of hot dogs were found near his body. He had written two suicide notes, one read; "Thanks sheffirs (sic), friends, because you help me when I needed something. I hope the Lord give you a happy life....I'm Louis Blanco" The other was mostly unreadable.

Chuck Gresham, an officer involved in the case, realized he had met Blanco before. Gresham stopped Blanco when he saw him walking alone down a highway in November 2001, where Blanco told him he was a farm worker from Mexico and had hitchhiked from Indiana. The officer suspected he was in the country illegally but didn't call immigration on him as the protocol was. Instead, he took Blanco back to the city hall, gave him some money, a blanket, and some drinks. The blanket was eventually found in the barn where he died.
