Los Angeles John Doe is a man believed to be responsible for the murder of popular rapper Christopher Wallace known commonly as "The Notorious B.I.G'' or "Biggie Smalls". This case is believed to be connected to the death of Christopher's "rival" rapper Tupac Shakur.

Case[]

In the early morning hours of March 9, 1997, rapper Christopher Wallace known commonly as "Biggie", exited a party at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, California, after it was shut down by the fire department.

He and his friends planned to go to a nearby bar to continue the party. Christopher got in a GMC Suburban behind another Suburban, which "Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs", Christopher's label boss was inside. Late actor Micheal Clarke Duncan was supposed to bodyguard for Christopher that night, but he was unable to.

Duncan always had the person he was guarding sit in the middle, and Christopher was in the front seat, which would affect the situation that would happen. At approximately 12:45 AM, the Suburban in front of the other ran a red light, between Fairfax Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard. A Chevrolet Impala pulled up to the Suburban, and rolled down the window. The driver then pulled out a 9mm pistol, fired four shots at Christopher, and sped away.

After realizing what had happened, Christopher's bodyguards got into the other Suburban, and followed the Impala. They eventually lost sight of the car, as the Suburban would automatically slow down after going at a speed higher than the maximum.

Christopher was rushed to Cedar Sinai Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 1:15 AM. A composite of the suspect was made. He was African-American, had short black hair, and wore a blue suit and tie. Because of his clothing, it is suspected that the man was part of the Fruits of Islam, the security guards for the Nation of Islam.

Eugene Deal, one of the bodyguards, said that he remembered seeing a suspicious man matching the description of the shooter watching Christopher and his friends very closely. He also said that the man paid attention to him for a brief moment, as Eugene realized that he was acting odd. Footage taken from the scene that shows the exact moment Christopher was shot shows a man that possibly may be the killer. The killer has never been identified, and Christopher's murder remains unsolved.

LAPD involvement theory[]

The Los Angeles Police Department were put onto the case, and it was apparently unusual as usually the Robbery-Homicide division would be put onto cases like Christopher's. The LAPD reportedly failed to try hard on solving this case, and the family of Wallace thinks that possibly a police officer was involved in the death.

It is highly speculated that an LAPD officer named "David Mack" was involved in Christopher's death, as he owned a Chevrolet Impala, that he may have lent to a man named "Amir Muhammad", who was a member of the Fruits of Islam, and was the godfather of one of the children of Marion "Suge" Knight, the manager of Death Row Records, who had popular rapper and 'rival" of Christopher, Tupac Shakur on it's label.

Tupac had been shot and killed by an unidentified man, now believed to be either Orlando Anderson or Andre Davis, both deceased, and Orlando's uncle confessed to his involvement in Tupac's death. Marion Knight is thought to have been involved in Christopher's death, and it's speculated that he hired Amir to kill Christopher. A witness also recognized Amir as a man seen outside the Petersen Automotive Musuem. Marion Knight will spend the rest of his life in prison, as he hit a man with his truck on purpose.

Greg Kading theory[]

Retired LAPD detective Greg Kading, who quit following the investigation into Christopher's death, brought forward his own theory regarding what happened. Greg believes that Sean Combs, Christopher's label boss, hired a hit on Tupac Shakur, following the anger over Tupac's hit single 'Hit Em, Up" which basically called out Christopher and Sean.

Marion Knight was linked to Christopher's death via an unidentified informant, who Greg Kading called "Theresa Swann". Theresa Swann was the mother of one of Marion's children. She met with Greg Kading and other investigator's at a cafe, hoping she would get protection.

She stated that what happened was that Marion was furious about Tupac's death, and thought Christopher was involved. So he had a friend of his, who was a gang member, Wardell "Poochie" Fouse, kill Christopher. Marion even bought Wardell a blue Chevorlet Impala. After the shooting, Wardell fled, and was given money by Marion. Wardell would later be shot and killed in Compton, California, in 2003.
