"Little Bit" was the presumed nickname of a woman whose remains were found buried in the basement of a house owned by James Mitchell Shaffer in 1987. He confessed to this woman's murder and the murder of Sheila Cummings, whose remains were also found in the basement.

The woman's remains were found in Nashville, Tennessee, on November 17, 1987. They were found in the basement of a house owned by James Mitchell Shaffer, who confessed to this victim's murder. He claimed she was a sex worker whom he knew by the nickname "Little Bit." He believed he had murdered her in 1984.

He confessed to another woman's murder, Sheila Cummings, who was also buried in the basement. He was also charged with the kidnapping of a sex worker in July 1985, whom he held captive for over 24 hours before she escaped.
