Lake Anosy Jane Doe was a woman whose disfigured body was discovered floating in Lake Anosy in Madagascar. Her corpse is reported to have been transported to a morgue for retrieval by relatives, though no one has come forward to identify and claim her.
Case[]
On the 12th of June, 2017, a passerby at Lake Anosy in Madagascar spotted the body of a woman floating in the water. Madagascar's Criminal Brigade was immediately notified and the woman was retrieved from the lake. The decedent's death was quickly ruled a murder due to evidence of her being beaten in the head and her face had almost all of its skin ripped off. Authorities were unable to conclusively determine if she had been sexually assaulted, and they were unable to find any identifying papers or apparel on her body. It is suspected she had been killed in another location before being dumped in Lake Anosy. Her body was transported to a morgue for retrieval by family, but no one has come forward to identify her and claim her body.
