Lady Isabel German was a woman whose remains were unearthed within the apse of the All Saints Church's foundations in York, England.
She was identified in February 2023. She was believed to have been an anchoress, living a life of solitude and prayer, and had evidence of septic arthritis and advanced venereal syphilis. According to records, she died on August 31, 1448. While alive, she had the reputation of being a living prophet and many worshipped her.
