Kinglake John Doe was a man whose body was found behind a log on the side of a road in Kinglake, Victoria.
Case[]
On 28 December 1979, the police were called to Extons Road in Kinglake where the naked body of an adult man was found.
The remains were located up an embankment by the side of the road, partially under a fallen log and out of view from the road. A search of the area revealed an assorted pile of male clothing on and near the log.
An analysis of the body and area suggested that the body had been dragged naked, from the side of the road to behind the log. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the back of the head.
